It starts with explaining chivalry and the medieval world and then begins with the Hospitallers, Templars and one of my favorite stories, the Teutonic Knights. From Northeast to west, they travel, they fight for themselves, they make history. The author starts out saying that the book is written for everyone - every kind of artist, teachers, students, art dealers, gallery owners, collectors (I don't remember exactly). But the truth is, the book would really be more interesting to painters...
